The Ask:
The client runs a handmade makeup bag and textile goods shop online. She wanted branding to set her apart from mass produced lower quality products. To me, the bags evoke a sense of playfulness and youth well also displaying a sense of homemade quality. With the branding I aimed to get across the playfulness of the bags along with quality and attention to detail of a custom homemade good such as these.
Inspiration
Major inspiration was drawn from artist such as Dick Bruna, (author and artist of the "Miffy" book series) along with vintage fruit stickers and Vintage Kewpie baby artworks.
I wanted the buyers to feel a sense of childhood Nostalgia. The feeling you would get from a hand knitted sweater your grandmother made for you as a child
